Rebel's nature is incredibly quiet, very well behaved and such a "dude". He is a dream to handle.  He has good bone and smooth elevated movement. He has been started under saddle and is being ridden in company and alone. The plans are to have him out competing in introductory dressage this season. (In the photo above he has just seen "Puzzle" the love of his life and is in 'breeding mode'  below he is in 'riding mode', both easy to handle and quiet, just a bit more puffed up above)
 
Rebel  has been confirmed as homozygous Tobiano. This means in layman terms is that he will produce a "pinto" marked foal every time.
 
In order to be homozygous tobiano, a horse has to carry two copies of the tobiano gene. Because this gene is dominant only one copy has to be passed on for a horse to be tobiano marked. So Rebel will always pass on one tobiano gene to his offspring.
 
He also shows that he is a bay that carries the recessive chestnut gene, so he can produce black, bay and chestnut foals. Feel free to email me to ask about any colour related questions.

Jan 2008 - Well the breeding season is nearly over, we have 7 mares confirmed in foal to Rebel and possibly one or two more to serve.  He has some lovely foals on the ground this season.
 
We are thrilled that Puzzle, our lovely coloured mare is in foal to Rebel and due 5th November 2008 and Luckin is also now confirmed in foal due 21st Nov 2008.
